It will be a surprising sight to see a river in the Sahara (big enough to locate on Google Earth), but this is exactly what will be on the news in 2020. That's because it's World Water Day.
A humanmade "river" will be created that consists entirely out of clean water (in celebration of inventions like the Lifesaver Bottle (www.lifesaversystems.com), but also as a call for action). Unlike the dirty water that comes from most real rivers (not to be found in the Sahara). The event is ironic and controversial, but it definitely gets media attention (and awareness of the Water Crisis is created because the organizers mention that a lot and celebraties are on TV to ask different countries to help improve the situation).
