A crash course in changing the world.
If I have to plan the World Water Day 2020 it wouldn´t take place on a beach or near a river or lake and also the people would not get water to drink for free like mentiod by others.
As it is my task to capture the Worlds attention and I believe you can´t do that by just having fun and doing some sports and everybody celebrates the day, I think such an event has to be more rough and shocking to make the people realize what the problem is.
So I could imagine I would choose a setting like a desert or some really dry area, like somewhere in Africa for example and the people would have to pay money to get something to drink (with the amount of water also seems to be constrained), because I think this is what is necessary to make the people become aware of the issue and to shake them up.
Also this event would last about 2 or 3 days, even if this isn´t enough time to make all people really face the problem, I think there would be at least some of them noticing what is wrong with water in the world;-).
I could imagine that there would be workshops for building energy-kiosks, using alternative energies and helping the people to find creative solutions for their problems and this kind of stuff, too.
Sure not everybody (at least the minority I think) would enjoy such an event, but I think it would gain a lot of attention all over the world and that is what it´s all about I think, but I may be wrong, there, so this is just my idea of gaining some attention.
