Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

@earthshod: "My business donated a water testing kit to a group in a low-income country for World Water Monitoring Day."

WWMD is an annual event with which I like to get involved. It stated March 22nd, but you're invited to monitor your water this year until December 31st! It is a grassroots way of sharing water quality information with the global community on an incredible scale! Locally, it is important near where I live because of sensitive wetland ecosystems which are often the first to be destroyed when water quality declines. Testing kits are cheap and fun!

But to Act today, I wanted to go a little deeper to affect somebody else's water. So, my business took a turn by donating a water testing kit to a group in a low-income country that would like to participate in World Water Monitoring Day, but otherwise could not due to financial reasons. I also decided to Act by spreading the word about WWMD and donating in this way on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn!

That sounds like a great program. Once they gather all the data what do they do with it?
