World Welfare Organization- 2020 imagine

Februari 2020- WWO Grand Opening

3 years ago rumors were being spread about the creation of a new lobby. Today, in Brussels, this new organization will
open its doors. The World Welfare Organization is becoming reality!!!

The WWO’s main goal is attracting funds and investing them in durable projects. How this all works? Well let us give you a quick introduction. We can all summarize some
of the richest people on earth, big multinationals, powerful governments, etc.
The WWO lobbies with these groups, presenting them the durable projects they
work with or on. They ask those enterprises, people and governments to donate
funds, machines, equipment that they need for those projects. The WWO doesn’t
ask them to buy a machine or product, only donate one of the products they produce
and would be useful to the WWO operations.

In return they can use the WWO label on their projects, as a mark of global cooperation. The WWO also needs other materials which need to be bought, these needs are
bought primarily at the companies and people who donate and support the
organization. So there’s a chance for them to make it a break-even or
profitable operation even though they’re helping others.

The organization’s employees are on the EU’s payroll. The organization’s accountancy is being controlled by EU organs and the building is being rented by the EU. In this way there are minimal
possibilities of corruption within and minimal costs for the organization.
Although the HQ is in Brussels, there’s also
a department in the US. This department falls partially under US
authority.

The EU department will search funds in Europe and Asia, while the US department will spread his fundraising on the American continent. Areas in which projects are supported are mainly:

  • Africa
  • South-America
  • South-Asia

The WWO has 150 employees in the EU and 200 in the US. These are jurists and managers who lobby with possible contributors, administrative employees and also managers
and engineers in the field, controlling and supervising projects which are
being sponsored by the WWO.

These engineers and managers in the field work together with the local charities and instances to create a best possible solution, make an inventory of the
additional funds, materials and products needed and report this to the WWO HQ.
When checked and approved the funds and products are being arranged, materials
are being bought and the cycle can begin all over again.

The main goal is to have a capital of about € 15-50 million dollar, which would be used to support about 15-20 projects at a time.

The WWO is an organization which mainly supports existing projects, so it’s important for other charities and organizations to keep active, support can be requested by
sending a rapport about the project to the organization.

like a less harmful version of the IMF? what sort of projects do you have in mind?

I think that this type of project could be associated with the UN or the IMF. But it could also be started at a smaller scale, like in a single city to start with. You should try to bring this project a little closer to the realisation by not only suggesting that idea, but by moving on, talk about it and make it a reality.

Good job!

I like the building on existing projects idea. So often we try to throw out the old entirely, when building on the parts of it that are already working would be far better.

Well, projects I had in mind...
I don't have any concrete projects in mind but...
we have a lot of smaller organisations which have great ideas and projects but don't have enough funds. (for example, building schools or water wells in Africa, etc)
If you would have an organization which I described who would have "only" a budget of 15-50 million dollar (compared to the 680 billion the IMF has), It could already help a lot of smaller projects. The IMF is there to help governments and lean money to governments.

The organization that I have in mind would ask money from the rich, redivide it amongst projects for the poor, no strings attached. You could compare it to an organization a bit like the UN, but instead of having their own big scaled projects, it would support the smaller projects, created by individuals and non-governmental organizations, mapping them and if necessary try to make them work together.

Love it Kenneth. A really good concept with plenty of scope for building upon. +1 for creativity from me.
