Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

With the ethical stance of taking only what you need, from what is offered, to be your best self, and expressing yourself by giving what you have more than enough of to whomever needs it the most, I offer you an opportunity to use your excess resources in exceptional ways to drastically improve the health of people who have the potential to do amazing things, due to their unique lives and environments and their ability to surpass so many obstacles in life.

Because "they" are also us, and we are all miraculous creations of life, capable of the most beautiful things, when we have the resources we need - food, water, air, warmth, light, and the freedom to express ourselves - to grow and thrive and be successful collaborators with the wh*** of the Earth, as she evolves into a more wonderful being.

I'm planning on making this a video to put up on YouTube. If anyone knows how to do that easily, on a slightly older Mac, that would be cool. (If I can't find some simple freeware to use, I'll have to go find my hard drive from my old computer that has Quicktime Pro, or something on it that came with the old computer. But that's a pain to do, so an easier solution would be preferable. :-)

Eh, it turns out that for some reason my Quicktime Pro and iPhoto (which apparently makes movies out of photos) doesn't work on my new computer. I have no idea why. Even when I run the software off the old hard drive. So now I definitely need some other way to do it. I just tried Animoto, which sounded promising, but adds all sorts of crap to the video, and gives you no control over the timing. So that didn't work...

This is similar to After Effects if you want something a little bit more complex, http://www.debugmode.com/wax/download.htm

Thanks Patricio! After going through a bunch of those, I finally found one that worked on my computer. And I managed to make a nice little video. Alas, it won't uplaod properly to YouTube. And I can't tell if it worked here either, because Ning's video player doesn't seem to work with my older computer. It was fun to try though. And maybe someone will find a way to get it to work on YouTube, at least. (The sound doesn't come through, and it skips several frames, making one of the images just flash on the screen for about 1/4 of a second, so you can't really see it.)

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
