I found out about this website through TED, and I was kind of skeptical at first. It seemed to me like some sort of elaborate attempt to get gamers doing tasks that other people didn't want to do; but then I read about this... learned from it and took up my first mission.
There was one quote in the mission list that really stood out to me:
"What you have matters more than what you lack (If you’ve got a bicycle, consider what you can build based on that, rather than worrying about not having a car, a truck, a metal shop.)"
This didn't stand out to me because I had some sudden realization that I have anything that I want from what I already have, however I saw a bit of myself in it. Everyday I am faced with problems that I have to face, and I usually improvise some sort of weird contraption to solve it. However the point is this game has showed me something...
I can use absolutely anything, even the things I thought wouldn't help at all (such as games) to obtain what I lack, and that is... to leave this world knowing, that I left it a better place.
