Agent Shakwei--Feeling like a guest gets very limiting. I got my education in international relations and development issues, but left it after feeling like much of development was telling people what to do. It was only after I discovered sustainable development/social enterprise that I got involved again. I'm American and live in Argentina, and I feel awkward or paternalistic sometimes getting involved/solving problems in a place where I'm sometimes seen as part of the imperialist and oppressor class. What do you think?
Agent Shakwei, thanks for the comment and prayer. I am a lot better this morning. :) I am ready to EVOKE the week ahead of me and beyond. :)
@Wanapitei, just to answer the question about ICTs.
Information and Communication Technologies.
These technologies comprise both Traditional and Modern Information and Communication tools. Here you get to mention - Radio, TV, Telephone (Traditional ICTs)
And the Modern Include - Internet, Wireless technologies cable TV etc....
Now ICTs are believed to be key tools in social, political and economic development.
Hope this answers your question :) @Shakwei please supplement :)
Tell me a bit about yourself and what you're doing here on Evoke. I'm totally new at this, not only to Evoke but also to playing computer games, although not to computers. I stumbled on Evoke by watching a video on the TED.com site by Jane McGonigal, the designer of Evoke and other games, both her methodology and her motivation. So, be gentle, I'm new here.
Yup! Could of done without that! Everybody knows about the incubator!

Thank you for responding to my campaign ‘Did you drink water today?’ I'd look forward to collaborate with you further how if at all, it is possible for you to send the link to as many people as you can to make them aware of the incredible good work that Charity:Water is doing currently.
I read a lot of development economics. Most recently I read a review of aid and whether it has helped Africa by William Easterly (professor at NYU) published by the Brookings Institue where he is a senior fellow. And I read "Bottom Billion" by Paul Collier (professor at Oxford and former chief economist for the World Bank) another one who differs from Eastery's conclusion but doesn't go so far as Sachs (professor at Columbia and initiator of Millennium Villages). Collier has a new called something like Guns, Votes, and War. I'm going to read it next.
Thanks Shakwei, I am very excited about UE, I think it's quite extraordinary. As a young person, I spent ten years working with youth and students on a range of social justice issues (community health, ethical consumption, corporate accountability, environmental improvement). This website would have been very helpful then! I am now working on the issue of conflict minerals, and I think this could be a great venue through which to mobilize people to take action for sustainable resource management. Very exciting! Nadim
Quality education is crucial to slowing population. I've heard about female education incentives in the states and internationally. Looking forward to learning what you come up with on your post.
Hi, Shakwei. This is Victor. I'm interested and waiting to hear about the book review. I'm starting to look into such dirty businesses now (such as dirty money flows) and I've been reading Collier, Sachs, and Easterly. So I'm curious what the book has to say.
Hi Shakwei, I've been reading online about the White Ribbon Alliance online and some of the work you all are doing in Kenya (I'm guessing you're doing a lot more than what's up there!) and it sounds really amazing! I'm super excited to contact them and see if they if they would be interested in working with us! Let me know what else I can do to be helpful. :)

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More
In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Foods are vacc** sealded for easy…See More
FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More
