Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

this teaser video provokes you to reflect upon your food choices and encourages you to take up vegetarianism - believed to be more sustainable and contributing to bring down food security concerns if mass adoption can move in this direction. The question remains: what can truly motivate one to shun meat eating for good?

Vegetarianism as means to help with hunger and climate change

In a hypothetical world, I'm a veggie at heart....I know it's the right thing to do, especially because a lot of animal farming uses agricultural land and feeds the animals grain - I once went through a phase of only eating what I think I could kill - so I ate chicken and fish...HOWEVER...I always buy ethically reared meat and am prepared to pay a premium for it.
@jan come on babe, as a woman...she IS pretty hot, and she kept my attention - only if it was the amazement that her mascara must have been magic not to be dripping down her face after total immersion! LOL

I am vegetarian and I try to eat vegan when I can. I am really not fond of PETA's campaign to promote vegetarianism using sex appeal though. Then again, I am not fond of PETA in general. Going veg should really be a well though out, intellectual decision, it should not be based on animalistic tendencies (no pun intended).

While creating social communication aimed to target ma**** to a cause like 'vegetarianism as a way towards sustainable eating', how else can social messages stand out from other commercial advertising to capture imagination of ordinary people who may be more inclined to respond with 'urgent optimism' when they witness something like this video?

Just to be an alarmist.

Tell them to look into the eyes of an animal while it's being murdered.

I don't know about you, but this video does not says to me "vegetarianism as a way towards sustainable eating." If that is PETA's message, then they definitely need to take a different approach, and I have no doubt that they can! There is more to the world than sex, no? I also think that if PETA is serious about promoting vegetarianism, maybe they should team up with a company that believes in the cause (a small one-- this would promote their cause) and advertise. Advertising an abstract idea probably isn't the most effective way to go. I don't know...these are just a few ideas off the top of my head, but I'll let you know when I think of more!

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
