Oh wow! This is so cool! It's so uplifting to see people out in the community taking action, being productive, and making things better in whatever way they can. It looks like the (students?) are having a good time, too. A lot of people get so work averse that it's good to be reminded of how rewarding it can be to pant and sweat and ache after a long day. Thanks so much for sharing this!

When I was visiting a local community garden, the organizer was telling me about preparing lots without plowing and that vegetables can grow fine in a couple inches of dirt as long as they get what they need. Its when they cant that they develope deep roots. I never knew this. It looks like this is your system as well. I wish you and the students much luck!
