Prof. Dr. Gary Martin on The Adaption of Local Knowledge Societies and Systems to Global Change

This is none of the suggested case studies (the second Link is even broken), but a general statement. It clarifies the importance of indigenous knowledge. We have to prevent this culture and knowledge from disappearing. Too much is already lost.

Video description:
In 2000, Gary Martin founded the Global Diversity Foundation (GDF) which helps indigenous peoples and local communities maintain their agricultural, biological, and cultural heritage through long-term projects encompassing research, training, and social action. His research is drawing on case studies that he has developed through the GDF over the last decade.
