We currently have efforts addressing more local production and distribution of food: several farmer's markets including one at Krankies; there are often regular screenings of environmental awareness-themed films; we have an ECHO council, a leadership training program, and new social network to develop social capital; there are various disaster preparedness efforts underway; and we are moving to an all hybrid electronic fleet for the city bus system. Not that there isn't room for more to be done...
