I saw Ben perform this song live amidst a ~thousand people in an intimate atmosphere, and let me tell you, that was one powerful way to create a "network." The filters by which we normally separate, distance, and discriminate one another with disappeared. Sure, for most people it was just a fleeting moment, but the fact was, it opened people up to one another...to want to move together, to collaborate together.<br />
<br />
So during a pandemic, that is the call I would bring forth to artists of all kinds (musicians, painters, writers, photographers, comedians, entertainers, etc.): move people. Move people to come together. To work together. To see and treat one another as themselves.<br />
<br />
And if nothing else, perhaps provide a laugh to those struggling amidst the crisis. As Garrison Keillor has joked, "If you should feel really happy, be patient: This too shall pass."
