Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Who is the real owner of this house? - Developed world or Developing world? Ideology/World-view/ Maps don't lie

http://www.urgentevoke.com/page/agent-map

This map shows the owner of the house (America & Western Europe) and the reason behind the present resultant misunderstandings.

It is not accusatory, it is only a map, but the map can explain that the digital divide spoken of by David Dewanee leads to other divides that cannot be papered over but needs skills of reconcilation and mediation and negotiation and contingency planning that are only being developed in evoke. By all of us together as a group.

Thanks to everyone for participating , may it bring forth greater levels of co-oparation and collaboration and resourcefulness and sustainability

But much more, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, self-control, compassion, empathy and other virtues which are the fruit of the Spirit of Divinity or Jesus or Buddha or any other such great soul in each of us.

I want to make it clear that I do not belong to World Bank or Ning, as I am not for both these platforms.

I would agree with you strongly Koshy in respect tot he following points. If we cannot resolve the issue the the house's foundations were clearly not strong enough. The question of right and wrong is another issue as it's dualism and there really isn't wrong an right but simply perspectives, which is why we must be careful how we present our information as not one can ever understand every perspective.

Thank you koshy for your multiperspective.

Got to say that Sarah's pictures seem pretty obviously offensive to me and I'm not surprised they are not what the mods want on the game. I don't think this has much to do with learning, doing missions and so on. All boards have rules just about what is social content.

if you are looking at engaging with sexuality as a discourse as a source of the growing awareness of power then sarah's photos can be connected to empowering women....
thanks for your frankness starling
what i like is how we can say these things openly and frankly and move on

@Starling
What was pretty obviously offensive about those pictures?
Who were the images offending?
What do you think the meta-semantics were, the meta message?
According to you
that is.

What was offensive about the image of a face painted with the Argentinean flag?
Comment by Starling on April 25, 2010 at 7:42pm
Didn't see an argentinean flag. Saw pictures of women in underwear with guns and militaristic westernised images. If you want to exclude folks from everywhere but U.S.A. that looks like a great way to do it - so I'm not surprised the mods objected.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
