preserving indigenous knowledge

i lend my support to preserving jain manuscripts. The organization that i am talking about works under jito.org and is responsible for preserving manuscripts of jain religion.

They invite volunteers to translate the manuscript. For that special knowledge is required and is carried out under the supervision of jain saints

the other work is to computerize it and publish it.

They invite volunteers for this type of work

Oh Sanskrit! Please also try to make sure that you people DO NOT loose sanskrit on the way, you know: if texts are available in English or Hindi there will be no need to study Sanskrit for future generations. Pros vs Cons!

The fact is sanskrit is hard to learn. And Since other languages like English are so widespread, it's so hard to retain it. i guess that's one of the reason why the organization want to convert the texts before sanskrit is obsolete or rather very few know it..

Thanks for the conversation Paras, it is sad. You know my ancestors the Incas did not get to develop a written langauge, there is nothing to preserve in written form, but the languages are alive!!, evolving with the modern times. People can study the language at the university and there are some entries to Wikipedia in those languages about the culture and the lifestyle of those people.
My cousin, she is Bolivian and she is a Yoga teacher, she started studying Sanskrit because there is so much knowledge to learn.....I believe she would be sad to see this meaningful language disappear.
Sanskrit sounds beautiful! I can't imagine myself singing many mantras in a language other than the original.
You keep the knowledge at safe, translating it and spreading it. But someone else has to make sure that Sanskrit is also at safe as valuable inheritance to the world!

Sanskrit is a dead language anyway, no one speaks in sanskrit nowadays

We meditate on the effulgent glory of the divine Light; may this inspire our understanding

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
