In my best-case scenario, 10 years from this day, I will wake up in the morning in a sustainable house, make of plants growing on a exoskeleton-like structure, as designed by Mitchell Joachim. I will ride a hybrid bike to school that charges a battery when coasting and allows you to use it when going up hill. I expect to work at a solar plant with solar panels at least 4 times as efficient as they are now. I will then go back to my house where I'll have dinner with my wife. We'll eat renewable beef that's grown in a lab rather than in a cow creating methane. Right now, the world is running out of resources, and we need to use them more efficiently. I have been interested in the concept of peak oil. It says that pretty darned soon, the world's gas demand is going to be higher than the world's amount of oil. in 59 years, we have used 80% of the worlds oil. Best case scenario, the world figures this out tomorrow and starts transitioning to renewable energy.
