A crash course in changing the world.

Ohne Geld bis ans Ende der Welt - To the end of the world without having money

“When I was young I thought that money was the most important thing in life; now that I am old I know that it is.” This is a famous quote of Oscar Wilde.

He is right in some ways. Money is an important thing in our life. Having a lot of money means that you can do whatever you want. Having only $2 a day it is hard to do what you want to do.

But I saw an interesting doc**entation on the German TV channel “ZDF”. It was called: “Ohne Geld bis ans Ende der Welt.” In English: “To the end of the world without having money”.

In this doc**entation, Michael Wigge, the reporter tries to go from Germany to the Antarctica without having money. Here is the link to the doc**entation: http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/beitrag/interaktiv/1056148/Ohne-Geld....

He tried everything to reach the Antarctica. Sometimes he got a job, sometimes he met people where he could sleep or sometimes he had to eat old food. But in the end he succeeded and reached his goal. It was a hard time for him but also a good time. He met people who were very helpful. In Germany you hardly invite someone to your home that you do not know. But in other countries it is normal.

Without having money you will get to know other countries much better than just going through it in a car or bus. Nevertheless your feeling for money will change and you will notice how important money is in our life.

I think that this experiment will not change the world but if you will try it on your own it will be the biggest change for your own world.

In my opinion the biggest impact how we use our money will be the electric cash. It simplifies a lot and you can buy things all over the world. But it also has its risks. When you lose your card it can be dangerous. Nevertheless I think that it also has an impact on our spendings. With a card you buy a lot more things without having the control over your money.

I really enjoyed watching the doc**entation. Great idea to post it here!

Some similar is that guy here. He tries to survive without money for the next decades. Crazy and a little bit admirable!

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
