Today in Afghanistan mainly all of the leadership and education is in the hand of men. At least the rural areas the thinking is, women don't need education, because the just stay at home, taking care of the house und raising the children. The knowledge is given from a mother to their female children.
Changing the system by giving an educational background to more women they are able to take greater part in the daily routine. They are able to read and write, count money and do some basic mathematics they are more independent from their husbands. This can be achived in the next two or three years.
In ten years the situtation maybe that male and female children are able to get the same basic educational background in school and so they are one step closer to equal rights.
This is my opinion because women are now able to do all daily needs without the help "educated" men
