Every time I leave, I think this. The weather was so beautiful today, 75 degrees fahrenheit and clear enough to see the snow-capped mountains not an hour away. A perfect Los Angeles day working with my colleagues teaching public diplomacy at USC, facilitating architecture and international collaborative design, nonprofit community networks and spark-inducing-high-tech art. My life is a dream, it could not be any better than this.
I got a number of odd messages, first from my husband then from my sister. My father passed away this afternoon. He has lived in Virginia for the last 35 years so in a few hours I will get on another plane to wish him a final farewell with my family.
The strangest things have come to light today. I only cry when on Facebook. With two parents now dead under the age of 60 I should be very careful with my heart & health, detoxing more vigorously and not allowing toxins to build up in my body. I feel the need to step it up a notch, to be my best and not slack at all anymore.
So I throw my all into my favorite endeavor, an attempt to answer many questions for youth about child & youth labor in the chocolate industry through gaming & a 3D doc**entary. We're up for an award right now, you can vote for us at

My father wanted me to be a physicist or mathematician but I chose to be an interactive producer....now bringing together a tremendous team to build a STEM learning game that teaches physics, engineering, chemistry, economics, technology skills through gameplay with other youth around the world. What we're doing here at Evoke for the next generation. I want millions of kids around the world to talk and share in one educational network where they teach each other what they need to know to thrive and honor the wh***. I know we can do this, I've seen what thousands of you can do in just a few days.
