A crash course in changing the world.
The University of the Philippines Manila National Telehealth Center (UPM NTHC) in partnership with the City Government of Pasay has been actively involved in delivering health care services more efficiently by computerizing its Community Health Centers.
UPM NTHC has developed an open source electronic medical record (EMR) called Community Health Information Tracking System(CHITS) which makes searching of patients easier and more systematic.
Before, health centers of Pasay use a paper-based records system which was prone to misplacement and damage. By implementing a local server in the health center, patient records are now accessible.
What's great about CHITS is that it already includes the health programs being implemented by our gov't - immunization, maternal and child, family planning, tuberculosis management, and many more.
Now, pasay health centers can accommodate people in their community more effectively and more efficiently
