A crash course in changing the world.
Living in a developed country and especially in a country like Germany means belonging to the those fortunate who (under normal circ**stances) will never be confronted with the danger of food insecurity. Social frameworks like the German one make sure that no citizen has to starve or even die from hunger. It therefore is our responsibility, the responsibility of the fortunate, to care for those less lucky who experience hunger every single day of their lives. With ever-growing populations especially in the Asian and South-American regions the theme of food security has become one of the, if not THE, major challenge of the 21st century. At the same time the populations of most African countries, where food shortage has already been a major problem ever since, are growing too, intensifying the alarming development even more. Our generation will have to find solutions in order to avoid food insecurities endangering even our daily life in just a few centuries from now.
