Shadowing a Hero
Hey.
Although this website gave lots of places to search for a hero, I didn't really need it as I remember a speaker at TED who gave me an excellent example of a social innovator.
This person is William Kamkwamba. William is from Dowa, Malawi, and had to stop schooling at age 14 due to lack of funds. Instead of giving up on learning, he decided to start borrowing books from a small community library and read up by himself.
After reading an 8th grade American textbook called Using Energy, which depicted wind turbines on its cover, he decided to build his own windmill using scraps of material to reduce the reliance on kerosene for energy.
He has done other projects since then and on the front of his website http://www.williamkamkwamba.com he is into a building project on the school he used to attend.
This goes to show that no matter how young, or old, if you are able to make some kind of opportunity by yourself, not just sit and wait, you would be able to make a difference. For William, he started just trying to provide for his family, now he is able to help thousands of people.

These are the talks that got me to notice his works. One was done in 2007 and the other in 2009. You can notice that he is continuously upgrading himself through his vast improvement in his spoken English.

The meal
It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
