Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Food crisis is affecting all over the world. I've been researching about food crisis and this two blog post caught my attention. They both talk about the food crisis one in Africa and
another one where in Queens. They both have a lot of information about
the problems and a few ideas how if we all work together we can make a
difference.

Al Jazeera English - Focus - Fighting for Africa's food security

I'm learning more about food security right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is "What else affects food security. I was researching
this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because it
talks about food shortage in Africa. Africa already has a lot of
problems with water and now food security is being added to their main
concerns.

"Political instability, global poverty and health, the financial crisis, religious conflicts and climate change are all issues
that affect us and require long-term solutions to address
substantially."

The quote I chose here is basically saying that food security is not the only problem that we are facing, and to solve
all this problems is going to take a lot of work and time to be able to
solve them.

I think this is shocking because it's showing us that food security problem is spreading and we need to work together to fix it.

Queens sees huge surge in demand for emergency meals and food

I am learning more about food security right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is What can we do to stoop food shortage?. I was
researching this question online, and this news item caught my
attention because of it's title. The title said something about queens
which made me realize that even New York is having problems.

""More than half of food pantries still had to turn people away because they ran out of food," Stampas said. "

The quote I chose here is basically saying that there isn't enough food for everyone there for people have to be turn away.

I think this is surprising because so many people don't have food to eat
and they go to places to get food and they are being turn away. It
makes me wonder what if this doesn't stop? what if food starts to run
out more and more till there is nothing left?

I agree with you when you say we can work together to fix this problem. One person can't do it all by themseleves so if people join then not only will they be helping the cause, i also think they could get the job done faster. As they say two minds are better then one.

Dear Marlene:

I enjoyed reading your blog post, Food Crisis, because it touches upon delicate issues in an area very modern like New York.

One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: "I think this is shocking because it's showing us that food security problem is spreading and we need to work together to fix it." I think this is a serious issue because famine is threatening rural areas and urban.

Another sentence that I liked was:"I think this is surprising because so many people don't have food to eat and they go to places to get food and they are being turn away. It makes me wonder what if this doesn't stop? what if food starts to run out more and more till there is nothing left?" This stood out for me because a lot of people are inable of providing for people that are in need.

I do agree with you that people need to step up and help those in need, but its very hard to help people.

Thanks for writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because youre point of view comes from passionate eyes.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
