Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

I love all of you guys, you're all so brilliant and deep down hopeful. They are wonderful characteristics, and you all show them with gusto.

As opposed to saying to each of you "I'm not quite sure..." for when you say a money-less system is great, and getting into a little bit of an argument I want to settle the score right now. I don't think the current money system works, and it will only get worse. However, this is the system we have. It is set in place, and nothing short of revolution will change that. The super rich and super greedy will do whatever they can do make sure their coffers are full, and as many of ours as possible are low. ( Maybe not empty, because if that was the case then they couldn't take any more from us. )

In order to change the system either a massive reform will need to be lead by the people, or a power strike will need to be formed by a power. World Bank, Bill Gates, Oprah, Queen of England, what have you. These are the people that matter, and these bigwigs define the rules we need to play by ( otherwise they will kick us out of the game. )

What happened to the electric car? Muscled out because it didn't play nice for oil companies. Solar energy? Constantly flip-flopped and under-represented by the government. I don't know what breakthrough solution will change money for any major country, and especially not the world. All I know is that it will take a lot of people, or a lot of money. Probably both.

You can move your money from stock holder owned banks to depositer owned banks such as credit unions.

That's a good idea, and its effects are warranted!

I don't think the purpose of the mission is to undermine the current economic sysyem (obviously! - far too much riding on it).

I DO think though, that this mission CAN have the effect of introducing additions to, not alternatives for the current system. Networks that are replicated on a global scale such as LETS, Bartercard (alongside their substantial ommisions) don't undermine the current economy because any barter or trade system cannot store wealth

- so even if we, in Evoke, stumble on another great system, it's not therefore going to subvert any current economic dictatorship.

What COULD hapen is that we have a massive global population who do not WANT to store wealth...there is your subverted economy...if people could practically manage to live on trade and barter, and have this as their dominant method of living (while storing the money they have to be used when they needed things like cinema tickets and utility bills) then it is feasible.

A bottom-up solution, if works, can spread to the ma**** - ok, you won't get the rich people, but the ma**** aren't wealthy...they could easily drift into a mindset, if there were enough advantages to doing so, and overturn things. I think one example of this - a wh*** set of debtees failed to pay their debt on the same day - this forced the lender to go under. The ma**** provide the wealth for the few...if the ma**** can be mobilised = who knows???

It's true, Lynn, the ma**** are the true masters. Very well put together response! The problem is that people are, by their nature, resistant to being put into one direction. This is in part because apathy and laziness are becoming more commonplace, and promoted by itself.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
