Ushahidi to report anomalies on political elections

I would like to use Ushahidi to report anomalies on political elections in my Estate.
Here in Veracruz we have 212 municipalities and the main problems during electoral campaigns and on the election day are:

ballot box disturbance
violation on the norm of secret vote
Results falsification
Violence
Fake Ids to vote
Vote buying

among others

I'm sure that using this tool to inform about the irregularities will help authorities to be aware and do something about it

How would you tell if someone had a fake ID, and who would be monitoring in each of the 200+ municipalities?
Comment by Claudia Flores Saviaga on April 22, 2010 at 12:44am
Each municipality has its own political partie representative looking after the polls, deployed all over the municipalities and when the people vote there are citizen checking every id againts their files, so any citizen or representative can denunciate any irregularity

Thank you for sharing your pro-active ideas of 'citizen journalism' and inspiring me in particular and all of us in general how technology-driven "Ushahidi" network can build urban resilience to protect the rights of ordinary citizens in exercising their franchise. +1 for courage to make such a personal intervention to instill "functional" democracy through free and fair elections in your own area.

This is wonderful. democracies all over the world need this type of program!

Great idea. This could mobilize inspectors to reach spots where fraud was happening before the evidence disappeared. Ushahidi shines a light!

Well done! The light of Ushahidi can only shine where it is 'turned on'. The politics of voting is so important.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
