Is there any interest in playing a minimus game centered around EVOKE on EVOKE?

I think an EVOKE based RPG would be great, especially if it has a learning component to it as well. We could get younger kids involved in the ideas inspired by EVOKE at a young age so that as they grow up they can be facilitators of change. I would also love to see a fusion between an RPG game and real world application opportunities. I think the collaborative effort could really be used to effect change in our world and foster peaceful interactions between cultures and communities.
Er, I think we're using different terms. My fault. Minimus is a tabletop RPG, not computerized. What I would like to do is explore some scenarios that EVOKE looks at using this RPG.
Hey Brian, I added your suggestion to the official Wiki under the Groups list. Thansk a bunch for sharing the Minimus system ! I didn't know of it :) Good luck !
I like the idea, but you're going to have to rewrite the minimus guide to make it applicable. It was a bit too much for my little brain to translate a wizard and a theif into something Evoke-ish!

In a sense, Evoke is an online RPG with blurred edges. I wish we could keep it going beyound the 8 weeks!
Joesph, I'm starting the character design... today, actually.

In terms of the character you play, basically think about what attributes an EVOKE agent would have. Someone being deployed not in Japan, but somewhere like it. Then I'll take those agents through a deployment and we'll see what insights and fun we can have.
I'd love to do an Evoke-based RPG. I was planning on running something for my gaming group using either GURPS or Shadowrun.
@Andrew, Cool. I like minimus for online, easy entry RPGs, but gurps could be cool in person. (I don't suppose you're in sydney.) Think up a character concept and post on the thread above. I need one more person to post a concept before we get started.
Always nice to see another table top gamer getting inspiration from anywhere they can. Hope your game goes well!
If you're interested in implementing a computer-based version

It'd be great if we could contact a DHTML, AJAX, Javascript genius to quickly make an online version.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
