Here's a term i hear thrown around alot, and i have grown fond of it. to me social capital is the resource one achieves from doing work that is outside of the market. work dedicated to making people happy or helping others survive emotionally or socially. the rewards of social capital are easily apparent when you think about it. a poor man with a good heart and a funny personality always has a roof over his head. social capital is chief in it's difference from traditional capital in that it is not measured analytically with numbers, there is no need, for any socially apt person can feel their social credit and capital with their emotional brains. through efficient use of social capital we can create situations where we can exist in a world of bot rich and poor people, where not everyone needs to save up for that beach house, because in truth, if you want to go to the coast you can use your social capital with those who already have them.
riches do not have to be material in order to be spent.
