I decided to learn more about Paula Kahumbu, the executive director of WildlifeDirect. She has played an important role in animal conservation, which I think is a very admirable career to follow. Her goal is to make a network of supporters and conservationists who will work together to ensure the future of wildlife around the world.
I did a bit more research on the organization and her role, and found that nearly one million dollars have been raised for various wildlife organizations. Millions of people read WildlifeDirect's blogs, and many have made important contributions to several supported causes. A few of these are: working to save gorillas in war-devastated Virunga, a part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and saving lions and other endangered species. More than 100 wildlife conservation programs blog on WildlifeDirect.
Since Paula Kahumbu has done so much to help organizations like these, I decided to subscribe to her WildlifeDirect blog. I hope that people will learn more about her and the organization, and will be inspired to help wildlife projects.
