Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Call the EVOKE Network to action.  This is your chance to harness the collective and collaborative powers of EVOKE.  Submit a challenge to the Network in this discussion thread, and my team and I might feature it in the Breaking News box.

A good challenge will take only a short time to complete.  Consider these possible challenge themes, or suggest something of your own:

- Collaborative efforts
- Making new connections within the Network
- Forming teams/Working together
- Looking for patterns in the Evidence
- Collective intelligence challenges
- Creative challenges

HOW TO SUBMIT A CHALLENGE:

1 - In this discussion thread, describe your challenge.  Tell us what you’d like to see the EVOKE Network do.

2 - Choose the EVOKE Power or Powers you want to see grow. Tell us how you think the challenge
should be rewarded.

If your challenge is selected to be featured, you will earn +100 Spark.

The Network awaits your call to action.

There is a huge, global (backed pro bono by Wieden & Kennedy - the Just Do It people) umbrella of synergy getting ready to explode at www.fouryearsgo.org.

EVOKE needs to be part of this.
Clearly, the POWER is COLLABORATION.
You and me, we transform the human morphogenetic field together, making critical connections between communities of practice (such as between URGENTEVOKE and other players also taking radical responsibility with radical audacity) emerging sustainable cultures now.
The CHALLENGE is go to www.fouryearsgo.org and register yourself online to be included in the team. Just takes a second.
Thank you.

I started a group in Second Life called Urgent Evoke in preparation for the conference. I've scouted out some places and it may be I can get use of a private virtual world for free which uses the Second Life client. Stay tuned it's going to happen.

EvokersEvoke Challenge: NonProfits Join Together Virtually

My vision is to have the first Virtual Evoke Conference. The challenge to the network will be to attend it by preparing for the date and being there.

The power I want to grow is Collaboration because Evoke has provided an opportunity we must capitolize on. The network is connected thanks to Evoke but needs organizing into logical streams to keep the momentum going and the collaboration happening. There's lot's already started but not enough. That's what I'd like this conference focus on but for sure we'll have music and dancing time too.

HOW THE CHALLENGE CAME TO ME:
I volunteer for a nonprofit and am a member of the Nonprofit Commons (NPC) in Second Life, sponsored by TechSoup Global. We meet every Friday at 8:30 AM and in a little over two years have grown to host over 80 nonprofit offices from around the world on 4 islands, one for environmental causes, one for health and two a mixture of social causes. We have held many mixed reality and special events as well.

In our 'open mic' time at today's meeting, which happened to be a celebration of Earth Day as well as our 1 year anniversary for the environmental island, I spoke about Urgent Evoke, and how I've learned so much and see such potential for a global connection I felt it would be of interest to everyone.

It struck me that it would be just as valuable if I let Urgent Evoke know about the NPC, and from there I realized it is ideal as a platform for a global conference. We at the NPC already know how to hold meetings with people from around the world, we can stream in live video, music and... it's fun. The immersive experience has to be experienced, as like Urgent Evoke, Second Life, to me and many others inworld, it's not a game.

RESOURCES NEEDED:
I will need help with the planning and organizing, promoting and holding the conference. This includes:
program manager; project manager; organizers; mentors; graphic designer; media co-ordinator.

In Second Life: media co-ordinator, builders, support staff (help, meeting moderators, media, security).

Second Life is free so no cost to participants.

Keep in mind this is in the "Imagine" stage, but imagine a virtual global meeting - for those who have a capable computer and network so not everyone, but still, we have the potential to connect hundreds of social innovators with nearly zero energy footprint used (no travel costs).

POWERS EARNED:
Many, tbd.

AND FINALLY
Meanwhile, a shameless plug notice for nonprofits:
TechSoup Global, a nonprofit organization helping other nonprofits with technology by providing reduced price software and support, is a must-know for any nonprofit who uses technology!

and everyone is welcome at the Nonprofit Commons see you there:

A place to discuss and debate about ethics, and things that happen on the evoke network, with limited moderation would be good. Since most of un know about the Panamericana/Sarah O'Connor Story...We would automatically keep our ideas in check and word it so we don't say anyting offensive. A nice open forum like this would provide a nice place for us to grow and brainstorm ideas, with input from others on the network.
Hi Karamveer, yes the Urgent Evoke code of ethics would apply to the group and I envision it to become a forum for good discussion, having speakers brought in, fun events, and opportunities to showcase our ideas to an audience by having presentations with slideshows or videos everyone can watch and talk about at the same time. It's going to happen I can feel it :)

UrgentEvoke Agents Connect Virtually. (further to a Evoke I submitted here earlier)

The challenge is Urgent Evoke is ending for the season but many want to stay connected. Blogs and Websites have been created, but my idea is different in that it brings the immersive experience where we can meet, discuss, have speakers brought in, give presentations on our ideas or watch a video and talk about it. There's a possibilty we can even attend the upcoming Urgent Evoke conference in Washington DC virtually!
Here's my bog on this, hope to see you there.

This is a Network to create friendship, debate relevant topics which are affecting our societies. Evoke is a place to show your creativity, intellegent and prepare for your self the day for the a****sment test where they can give you one topic to discuss within 30 minutes in order to get a job. This how it works in the world of employment when they recruit someone to be a staff from the company or to offer a Busary to him. It is a preparation network which keeps your minds busy and doing something differently to your daily lives.

I would like to encourage staff to also review individual work or research and give some opinions and marks for it. It would be beneficial for that person to push up and come up with something interesting and incredible. It must be used more specifically for top agents or Evoke players to ensure that they deserve where they belong. It would also encourages individuals to perform to their best in this regard.
See http://www.urgentevoke.com/profiles/blogs/urgent-evoke-connecting for my updated blog on this.

It would be interesting if the Network can be designed in a way in which our Evidance or created work, projects would have a maximum words to write. It must easy for everyone to access the Network e.g. cell phone network accessible. It must be basically to the challenges facing different communities. Someone from the Evoke management should select and submitt the best assignment or project to Government bodies. What we discuss as members must have a reall effect to the community. It must not end from us as individuals. External bodies to review the best and professional work should be appointed to make reports on findings. The design of the Network must more professinal e.g. list on Top: Discussion, Home page,Board, missions, finished work etc. it would be easy for the user to know where to go and click to finish his targeted job.
Do the right thing even when no one's looking.

IT is quite difficult to explain exactly what a person of intergraty looks like. The same holds for explaining how organizations with integraty function. There are, nevertheless, a few good clues.

Greek words for 'Character' link to to early writing.
I will go for the MYSTERY ACHIEVEMENT to glow.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
