My EVOKATION - Education Reform
Despite current efforts to change things, the education system, even in developed countries countries like the United States, fall flat on their face. Granted, the US has very good schools, perhaps even the best school, but those are available to those that can afford it, which is limited to very few people. With all that in mind, the United States are only ninth in developed countries.
We're not talking about Ivy League education, I'm taking about basic, Junior-Kindergarten to 12th Grade education. This seems to debase the reputation of the big-shot Universities to a mediocre level. I know I may be exaggerating just a tad, but bear with me.
So why are we at this level with education? It's very easy; education is strictly a left-brain activity. Of course there's sometimes art and music for kids, but these have little practical use if you want to carry them over to academic cla****, such as math, literature, and the sciences.
I am here to help change things. We have to start using our right brain. You're probably heard the fact that we're only using 10 percent of our brains capacity. This figure has also been as low as 2 percent. This is astounding. Our intelligence potential is fifty-fold what we have now, and probably more, since I believe that intelligence grows exponentially as our brain usage increases.
1. The Place
The goal here is to take this reform to the national level (Canada). The United States often takes the good parts of thriving systems such as education or healthcare (as we're seeing now), and that really isn't a negative statement if it affects the country in a positive way.
The United States may have an influence over other countries with certain aspects of government, so maybe this will spread out to several different countries.
2. The Challenge
I really want to change the education system. This is mostly because education is really the start of everything, and kids cannot get into the reputable universities. University and other post-secondary education should ideally be (in my opinion) free, or at the very least subsidized, but that's another story.
If one cannot fully grasp elementary or secondary education, there is no chance you can get into post-secondary education. Therefore, elementary and secondary education must become a polished stepping stone, or several, each one representing the grades that one goes through as they pass through high school.
Currently, the stepping stones are like the contraption Marv uses to climb up from the basement in Home Alone 2. This is a pretty accurate representation because that contraption could've fallen down at any minute, and it did after Marv and Harry finished using it.
Of course, truly brilliant kids will make it through because they think radically differently and they use different parts of their brain that isn't taught at a traditional school. If we can teach how to use those different parts of the brain that a genius uses, we'll have a new generation of highly intelligent kids, capable of solving world problems when they get older and set their mind on a goal, sort of like EVOKATION.
3. The Idea
Okay, so here's the idea. I want to gather members of right-brained-based education and put them together and form an education reform. There are specifically three members that I'd love to have together to work out this education reform.
i) Paul Scheele - Mr. Scheele has a problem entitled "The PhotoReading Wh*** Mind System", I have his audio tapes and it is incredibly effective. It takes the brain's ability to take mental images of the pages of a book of your choice and recollect them at will. This can be used for In my experience, I've been able to understand more from the books I read, and I can fly through material quicker. I haven't had anything groundbreaking, but materials are much easier the more you use it. It is actually pretty amazing and helpful.
ii) Arthur Benjamin - Mr. Art Benjamin has a book called "The Secrets of Mental Math". If you check him out, he's can multiply 3, 4, even 5 digits together faster than a calculator can. I'm only about 20 pages into the book, but my mental math has been increased exponentially. I'm very excited to finish the book to practice more. This man would be awesome on my team.
iii) Jose Silva - Jose Silva has had a huge influence on my life. I really need to get back into the "Silva Method" and the "Ultramind ESP System". Unfortunately, Jose Silva has passed on over 10 years ago, but he has a daughter who has taken the family business, and it'd be great to contact her and see if his teachings could help kids develop better study habits. He teaches mind reprogramming and going into the alpha state of mind (the supernatural level of learning). They also claim that the brain has incredible potentials, however I have not quite experienced them, but I haven't really fully immersed myself into it, I just passively learned about it.
I strongly recommend getting at least one of these learning platforms; just the "Alpha Sound" by Jose Silva, a clicking of 10 beats per second, is proof enough that it works. Just the left-to-right method by Art Benjamin improved my speed in mathematics, which is proof that it works. The fact I could tell which part of the page a certain word of the dictionary was found was proof that it works.
Just for a second, consider what all the systems put together would amount to with the average Joe. It would probably be incredible. Which is why we must implement these systems to the most people at the youngest age possible to amplify the effect.
4 - The Money
Here's what would be done with the thousand dollars: I will contact all three members to have a meeting on the education reform. I'll invite the three to bring a few associates, if they have them, and we'll discuss how we'd want school to be taught.
So contacting the three, arranging a meeting for all the members at some sort of conference at a hotel, establishing some sort of new education plan, and then proposing/lobbying it for my country's government or the United States government to integrate it.
I know it's a long shot, but it would be completely worth it in the end. Smarter, more educated kids; kids that can think for themselves. People who know a lot about a lot of things don't normally fight in wars. The future with this sort of standard education will be astounding, and I'm sick of saving top education for the rich.

@ Sam. I'd love to get an iPad, especially if it saves me money on textbooks :) That would be an awesome way to incorporate technology, because at that point, the iPad would become subsidized by the government. Do look up Paul Scheele so you can use your reading abilities to cut your reading time into a fraction of what it would be.

Paul Scheele also does the Paraliminals things, which are amazing. I kind of overdosed on them at one point, and was a little too happy and productive for my family and friends. :-) His understanding of bringing both sides of the brain (and/or the unconscious~conscious elements of the brain) together, and giving exceptionally healthy messages to the brain, are really, really useful.
I never tried the photo reading program, though I know it was highly recommended by someone I respect.

The Paraliminals are kind of like hypnosis and subliminal audio stuff. It's usually two positive/inspirational stories going on at the same time, one in each ear (you need to listen with headphones), with the framing and style of the different stories targeting a specific side of the brain. It's a really interesting experience, and it definitely makes me think and feel so much better about myself and my life when I use them. There might also be some binaural audio going on in some of the Paraliminals, though I'm not sure. (It's very subtle if there is.)
