Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

The social innovator I picked is Hayat Sindi. She is a medical researcher and co-founded Diagnostics for All. It’s her vision that all people will get access to medical treatment even those who are hard to reach geographically and are not connected to any infrastructure. Therefore she invented diagnostic tools micro-fabricated in paper. This innovation is cheap, portable, safe and easy to use. One drop of blood is enough to get a instant diagnosis. The advantage is a reduction of waiting time because there is no need to send the samples to laboratory to get a diagnose. With this invention people of developing countries are also able to get the best medical treatment. I agree with Hayat Sindi that telemedicine will play an important role for health care in future.This method opens new possibilities e.g. arranging far distant surgeries, in which the specialist attends via screen or doctors will be able to follow the vital signs of their patients with the help of technology.With telemedicine, western medicine and the medicine of developing countries can be connected. More people can be reached and are able to get a better medical treatment. Therefore I chose Hayat Sindi as my favourite social innovator,because I think that her research innovations are important and have a lot of future potential to help people.

1 more thing to add....
In a developing world, you might want to make sure that you have sterile ways of piercing skin in order to get the blood.
You should go to Hayat with that, give her a suggestion on facebook.

+1 for creativity, because you're obviously thinking about the topic and figuring out ways to use it in future. I've just spent half an hour reading evidence from agents, and this is one of the best. I look forward to hearing more of your ideas in the coming weeks.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
