not sure about
"cities are our future"
i think they are our past having outlined their use...
and thus the notion of "citizen" would also be eroded
and the wisdom of natural living be learned...

i like your 1 million solution...
i think the question would be better if it were 1 million in a small area
imagine what a million-sized town could do if they worked together...?

despite our difference
like everyone in this game
i think we share more similarities

you are a good person :)
and i hope at the end of this game
they don't just pick top scores or someone out of the hat from the top 100
and we have a way to personally recommend
because you'd get my vote :)

be well!

Thank you, Mita, for your response. I'm not a huge dreamer. I work from the realistic side, having faith in myself and knowing what I can accomplish. I'm a believer in changing the world one person at a time. So EVOKE, so far, seems a departure from my comfort zone. I see this as a chance to reach out and network more.

Hey there - I was reading on another blog when I came across your comment regarding Peter Block. I wrote in response on that blog - but wasn't sure you'd see it - I am reading Civic Engagement and the Restoration of Community by Peter Block right now! He is a student of Werner Erhard's work (one of my heroes) It's available as a free PDF book if anyone is interested: http://www.peterblock.com/assets/Civic.pdf
I love it when the synchronicity begins to flicker into flame.
I look forward to reading your blogs!

Mita,

Just read your essay on how you came to work with the Evoke Network.

All of them were very cool, I really enjoyed your story especially.

Hey Mita,

Awesome suggestion about working with the Agent Librarians to get it to work on the community collaborations. Looking forward to working with you.

Immune to analysis paralysis? What's you're secret?
I'm big on action, as well, but sometimes frozen by curiosity + the curse/gift of being able to see all angles.

Mita, thanks for your response to by blog post about 2020. It's nice to feel heard. If there is anything I've learned from a decade of parenting is patience. It *might* be possible to have/do it all -- but not at the same time. I feel like I still have a larger contribution to make -- but right now i don't know what that will look like.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

The meal

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
