answering your questions about the solar oven, the temperature reached during the day varies according to temperature and sunlight recived, usually when there are about 25 º c or more reaches 98-99 º C within the solar furnace (measured with laser thermometer) .
Hi Amanda, nettles are nice--did you need gloves to protect your hands? (I do..) Foraging is decent if you know accessible land in hills of Massachusettes, along the Pike, and towards NH and VT. About your Japan Food Crisis thoughts: There are some green rooftop projects in Japan--near where I lived in F**uoka there were quite a few--on government buildings designed for the gardens, on sky-scrapers with large enough roof-spaces, on restaurants. Solar panels are also much in view. Sometimes I wondered if solar panels could be augmented with mirrored panels to "capture" light for extended growing seasons on roof tops, with ambient reflected solar lumens being captured for conversion to electricity by the surrounding solar panels... Also, since many places in Japan border the sea, and flat lands are already used for rice production, with seaweed harvesting largely in Korea, perhaps nori/seaweed harvesting, and suspended gardens (wind-protected) and the window boxes you mention might be efficacious. There are many container-grow systems that conserve water, maximize root strength and yields. Don't think these are great for grains, but I know they work for plant veggies, tubers like carrots and potatoes, pollinator-supporting flowers, etc.
Love your idea posted in the discussion forum (http://www.urgentevoke.com/forum/topics/challenge-the-network) about growing something from seed for the next 10 weeks agent Jeffrey. Maybe you can engage some agents from Japan, or even from developing countries, to collaborate on this with you. From tiny acorns do giant oak trees grow.....
"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"
This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More
In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More
The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
