A crash course in changing the world.
I decided to preserve the knowledge of an traditional medicinal plant of the Alaska Natives: the bearbeery (Arctostaphylos spp.).
The raw berry was eaten in cases colds and the flu, and to help against stomach troubles.
I carved (haphazardly) the image of a blueberry into a block of wood and tried to symbolize its medicinal properties with the faces. I then coloured the carvings because they where not very visible on a photo.
