Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

So now that we are just (!!) Three days in the amount of information on here is huge.

It is really neat- but how to string the info together ? Tags are cool and great but if I want to read on climate change and food production that can lead to a bunch of different services. What I'm proposing is a either player standardized tag system or like was mentioned previously a wiki. I think by talking and communicating with eachother we can help string info together to do better research and focus and add more depth to our discussions.

I am looking to put a lot of information together on climate. And food production change. I think this will come is handy as the missions expand.

I would like posts to be tagged climatechange andor foodproduction .

What are you looking for? Do you have ideas to link and acc**late information here in a logical manner ?

Please forgive typos. I am on my cellphone.

Good thinking. There is a wiki already: EVOKE wiki
So that is started. An entry there for standardized tags would be helpful, especially since the search function on this site does not seem to pick up everything.
I was thinking of starting my wiki page today.
Maybe wiki pages should be standardized too sorta?

Wouldn't that be awesome for major topics?
Much like during the Superstruct experiment, one of our main issues seems to be organizing information - both generated by the Agents, and discovered by them - into something that we can actually use. It's a really good thing that you adressed the issue, in the continuation of what we're trying to do over at the Wiki ! One thing we could do is ask people to research specific subjects - like food production, or climate as you suggested - and help them organize it into something that'll best profit everyone else ? Maybe some sort of "one size fits all" template ?

Regarding what you said about standardizing the Wiki, yes, that's definitely a must-do. Let's get back to it ;)
Yeah... definite must do.

Ok- sense I am on this climatechange-food production kick at the moment I am going to focus on that. I am going to do the following: 1) create or use the main climate change wiki 2) focus on particular sub-issue of food production. 3) When I go through it I am going to look at templating a rather standard style based off the above. Maybe adding a little bit more depending on input, what I think of etc.
When its complete, maybe then there will be a working model to base other things off of?

I am a at work- so I'm looking at finishing this up in the next 12 hours-ish.

About Tags- this thread could start as a reference place. When people think of a topic- they can think of a standardized tag set and post it here. So when people see blogs/evidence relating, they can post a comment asking the person to add the tags if they aren't there already.

Then people can be on the look out to help index this stuff. :D

course we could start a template wikipage! lol
Standardising tags would be great - even when we're using the same word(s), some folks use lowercase some Title Case and others UPPERCASE and the list of tags gets longer and longer. The game-related tags are all uppercase - do you think it would work to have everyhting uppercase or should we suggest lowercase for everything other than game related stuff??
Is there a list of tags somewhere or should we work on creating one?

There's a list at the bottom of the main blog page http://www.urgentevoke.com/profiles/blog/list
but this is just an auto generated list with no order.
Thanks. It is a lot bigger than I thought it would be!

So, there is a list of some used terms; we could start there. But there is no standard list. I think a wikipage should be started...anybody want to volunteer?

I really like the game related tags to be UPPERCASE and the topic related tags to be lowercase, first letter capitalized.

Anybody else notice how it indexes every word if there is a space? so climate change is tagged as both 'climate' and 'change' but not as one tag of 'climate change'. I think just removing the space and capitalizing the letter of each word like ClimateChange would be okay.
I've made a start on a wiki page, setting out suggested format etc (http://urgentevoke.wikia.com/wiki/Collaboration_Tools#Standardised_...). Haven't started a list of standardised tags yet - suggestions on how best to approach this appreciated (other than just jumping in!) Presumably the hardest things will be 1) making people aware of what we're doing here and 2) getting people to follow the suggested format and to use the standardised tags.
I think we're going to have to message people through our friend's lists to get the word out!
Thanks for starting the wikipage. :D

I'm excited about this and that others want to organize too.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
