Teach how to fish rather than give fish!
It is better to teach how to catch a fish rather than giving fish all the time someone needs fish. We will not be there all the time but whenever we can, we should teach self-reliance. The ability of a people to within themselves find solution to their own problems. Social innovators make things happen, they do not watch things happen. That is why Tokyo after being helped will help the other cities around it. Social innovation is a seed. if a grain of maize is sown, it will be madness to expect to harvest just a grain of maize!

Bryan, it is that thing that you think does not have value that someone will so much appreciate. The Math and Computer that you are good at may be what someone has being struggling with. Innovation is not all about something new, it could also be the same thing in a new way! Please get that and start where you are!

Oresanya, I understand that and I am trying to use my math skills to help out. You can look at the "Math Tutoring" discussion in this section to see what I mean. However, I would like to learn more about what is needed and see if I can adjust what I am doing to be more useful. I realize that you have already completed your schooling, so math tutoring would probably not be useful to you now. When you were a student do you think the service I am setting up would have been helpful? If not, could you tell me why and offer some suggestions for improvement?

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
