I think the most important factor in managing a crisis communication plan would be how to manage panic during a pandemic. People are crazy and will do whatever they have to do to survive. Being on the other side consists of knowing how to manage these people in a crazy situation and keep them calm and collective the best they can. If this part was left out, there would be choas and anarchy.

In my opinion, the most important secret from the "Guide to Crisis Communciation During a Pandemic" would be learning how to come to terms with uncertainty. Uncertainty in life can be very scary for people to learn to cope with but learning this skill is necessary to do. Once people are able to come to terms with the uncertainties in life they will be better equipped for crisis situations. During a crisis situation if you have not learned how to handle this stress you will not be able to stay calm; therefore, you will not be able to work efficiently and effectively to fix the issues. However, if you have learned to accept uncertainty you will be able to think more clearly during a crisis and will be able to solve the issue in a timely manner.

panic is the most important... people always think the worst. it is important to emphasize the specific areas the disaster occurred so that only the people who need to worry will worry.

In removing panic from a pandemic, it is essential to work with others to create horizontal visibility and promote a sense of calm and community LEARN9

Dear EVOKERs,
Good day!
I perceived EVOKE in Session 1 as Empowerment Opportunity through Vision, Knowledge and Empathy. I feel for crisis communication also we need to apply Vision, Knowledge and Empathy.

I think that the main problem is that if gets put of hand there will be more problems than just a flu so people have to stay calm.

I believe that managing panic is most I portent. Many times panic causes strees; as a result, people will not be able to handle a crisis or disaster in an orderly manner.

I think that managing panic is the most important if the five. If people do this then the situation becomes easier to handle. Also, people are more likely to get away from the threat faster than a panicing citizen.

I think managing painc is very important because if something serious happens then it will be easy to handel the problem if everyone is calm.

Comment by Mary Crawford Esslinger on December 7, 2012 at 2:45am

I think managing panic is extremely important because in a serious emergency, panic can be the difference in life or death. Time wasted oanicing doesnt help anyone.

Comment by Robert Breeser on December 6, 2012 at 11:35pm

I think managing panic is really important because if you tell everyone things are fine, then they will believe you.

Managing panic is most important to me. This could really calm our world down and be more relaxed. We need to prevent people from panicking so big problems won't happen.
Comment by Christian Sutton on December 6, 2012 at 10:27pm

I think the managing panic in a pandemic is the most imporant because in big situations people panic and it's good to see ideas of prventing that.

I think outbreak communication is the most important because people receive wrong information on important things like diseases and wars. People knowing the truth about things will give them the knowledge and understanding and not a guess.

Comment by Mahzuza Rahaman on December 6, 2012 at 9:40pm

I think that managing panic is really important. If people don't panic things get done quicker and calmer. For example, when we have fire drills we always stay calm and line up. We don't just start running around. This is why managing panic is important.

Comment by Hal Olson on December 6, 2012 at 9:36pm

I believe that the most important aspect of the "five secrets of crisis communication" is managing panic in an outbreak. You need to make sure that people remain calm during a crisis so that the emergency services can do what they need to do without having to deal with screaming mobs of people, all trying to get help.

Comment by Olivia Koenig on December 6, 2012 at 2:27am

I think that the outbreak communication is the most important aspect. Communication leads others to a better understanding and knowledge.

Comment by Brian Hill on December 6, 2012 at 1:01am

I think outbreak communication is the most important because if you are able to communicate, then, someone will try to help.

i think that "how do people react in a pandemic?" is most important because if you don't know how who to deal with the situation and the worry that comes with it than you can't help but be n help

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
