I've been thinking a lot about social and economic collapse lately. It occured to me that one of those two situations will occur long before enviromental collapse.
That's a sad thought isn't it?
Not really. I've spoken to old people who lived through the Great Depression and I think we can survive economic collapse, and we've lived through social collapse before (although the dark ages did set us back 600 years). I've been thinking about how I could help the world recover from a collapse. What could I do as an individual. My greatest skill is writing and working with people.
It struck me.
I'd create a wiki, I can afford some hosting and I can create some articles. With enough information I could share the database via a torrent so people can have local copies if the internet fails.
And so I did.Now I'm working to find like minded people who are moving in the same direction. Together we have more time, knowledge, and attention, which I think are the most important resources of them all.
