A crash course in changing the world.

Remember, the current trend is "globalization" - that means that the solution has to be uniform and consistent across all continents. This is why I brought up the idea of digital currency. Some o the ideas proposed by the creator of this game were based on local ideas, like barter systems. However, this is a flawed concept because those appeal to very small economies. The purpose of money is to abstract the value of goods and services so that it is commutable. That is why a global currency is the best solution. Then the goods and services of tribes in africa are equally as commutable as the goods and services of lower castes in India - as well as plebes in China and working class in America.
Lots of people seem to hate the idea of money and currency because they don't understand it. They try and come up with "alternatives" - but money has been around for centuries. You're not going to change status quo with fervent ideas and passion alone. You MUST pay attention to reality and what most people care about. Most people couldn't give a care less about alternative currencies and barter systems which is why those are pointless solutions. In this case, you must literally fight fire with fire. The fire that most people care about is the almighty dollar. How do you fight that? With the almighty dollar.
I remember watching a show about an englishman who gave up money because of that abstraction purpose. He was appalled by the fact that the Nike shoes he bought were "okay" because it was technically legal, even though the shoes were made by children in sweat shops. So he gave up money. But he still lived in a caravan and used a laptop and highspeed internet. Who does he think those were built on? The backs of cheap foreign labor!
You can be idealistic and altruistic all day long, but that does NOT extricate that value of modern currency from the lives of everyone, even in poor countries.
I think this episode is ilogical. The U.S. dollar will never crash, and I dont know if we could do anything if it did. I applaud the thought, and creativity, but I have strong hopes for the U.S. dollar.
I don't understand the first part about the currency crash. How can a curruncy even die or crash?
I don't understand how money could crash or go away.
I can kind of see the crash of our dollar, like the crash (if you will call it so) of the Deutschmark (was that it?) in Germany before WWII. If tensions rise enough and their is war and we happen to lose- well, we would see the crash of the dollar. But......honestly, money.....GO AWAY? Like, for good? HOw would that happen?
