Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Living on such a small income ties in with simplicity. When one makes only $2 per day, it completely changes life in every single aspect. When one wakes up in the morning, the first objective for them would be to earn an income. In order to earn the measley $2/day, one must have the proper nutrients in order to provide themselves with sufficient energy to complete the tasks expected of them at their job. It is people who live with these kinds of conditions who truly understand what it means to live simply. The is only one thing in the minds of people who only make $2 per day; SURVIVAL.

I would totally agree. The women who pound stones into gravel in n. Uganda would agree as well. On a good day, they make about a dollar. A dollar! I can't even imagine the amount of energy put into their job and only getting a buck off it. Thankfully, I have a friend who has taken the creativity these women use in making beads and turned it into a socially proactive business efficient for them to live off of - most of them are even able to move out of the slum where they were stuck.
Survival. Certainly a concern for these people.

Actually, that might be true for some people, but that's certainly not true for all people who live simply, and don't make a lot of money. I lived on about $2 a day last year (less than $700 in 2009), and I'm definitely not in survival mode, and definitely don't think about making money very often. I live a pretty happy life (aside from some issues with my husband) and I totally have more than enough of most things. And that's because I've sought out people, places, and things that don't demand money from me, and instead are interested in sharing resources.

Yeah, but in a way the social support system is still In place in terms of waste surplus; potential to share is feasible & highly possible in many areas of the world, not all though. Where do you/did you live Turil?

As long as there is another living thing on the planet, aside from yourself, you are sharing, no matter where you are. :-) What makes it even easier is to be away from "modern" society of humans, but even in the city, where I am now, there is so much to share.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
