I do not know what happened here, and as much as me angry or sorrowful what I see in the picture, I wonder why and after that is gathered at least a small group of people to fix the mess, to set an example that things may not always change but that can fix that in a way that others will attempt to make even minimal efforts to improve their community and life. All we must at least try to preserve those values that are truly valuable, not only us but generations to come after us.

Ahh Biloxi... Katrina.
Well, the church gets affected, just like other buildings. If you look at the other pictures on the source, you will see the amount of destruction.
@Mladenka: I think people at Biloxi as well as other areas afflicted by the terrible Katrina were busy trying to save their lives and rebuild lives, rebuild homes.
This picture, to me, in this context, makes me think:
A religious icon is also just material good. The symbol of Mother Mary, however, is beyond the material. Hopefully, this church and other churches afflicted have been re-build by now. Maybe someone know?

I think it should inspire us to believe change can happen even in the worst of times as this picture makes me feel. We could go there together and change this as it should be.

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
