Vancouver ends homelessness
At first I thought this was a bad joke, now I see it's an optimistic view in the future saying: It can be over, if we get started.

I understand that hunger isn't equal with homelessness, but here it mostly comes together. In a meat-eating country, food in general is seldom expensive, since they produce so much, that they can feed it to their animals, instead of eating it themselves... Food becomes a problem, as soon your income gets so low, that you can't even afford that anymore... Oh, and of course, if you don't want to eat the same, that they feed to animals... organic, untreated food is unfair expensive, and a lot of big companies try to jump in on that, making it even harder for real food providers...

As sharing food, I'm able to buy big amounts to save money, which makes it affordable too buy organic rolled oats, and other vegetables in local stores. Not only do I support my community, but also my body and thereby the health insurance system.

Wow!!! I lived in SF and collaborated with art for the homeless coalition, they were doing a good job and Vancouver indeed is a model for the rest of the world!!!

Thanks for the feedback! :-) @Daniel: I found it on youtube. :-P Stumbling around can be quite rewarding... @Diego: Well I do grow some food in our garden here, as a lot of people in Nelson do. And there is a organic food shop called the Kootenay CoOp, which is sort of like a community-shop. If you're a member you get back a certain percentage of the win at the end of the year, related to how much you spent there. I bought 10 kg of rolled oats in a bag... Quite hard to carry on a skateboard :-D
@Patricio: Do you know what was going on during the Olympics? They got some homeless people of the streets but only in the olympic area so they wouldn't ruin Vancouver's reputation... It's not all gold...

Fourth of July on the Lake
This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The meal
It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
