Difficult. what is todays dominant cultural story, capitalism? What I see all the time are people wanting to make a difference without actualy leaving thier home or comfort zone. Charity from afar, or what I call clean charity, helping without understanding or getting ones hands dirty!

Was very involved in veggie gardens in the locations in and around cape town, what I found was huge interrest and work from the woman but theft and vandalism from the rest of the community at large. My project soon turned into a security opperation instead of food production.

The point I am trying to make is that one can sponser or donate seed, help, tools and land thinking one has helped or done a good deed but actualy one has just sponsered a criminals tik habbit!!!

I think think the same goes with these huge charity organisations desighned to make the have's feel better about having, the illusion of having helped to stop the guilt of driving a suv to drop off the school kids in the morning!!!

Bleeding heart housewives who want to save africa but but buy gm products all the same.

In my view the realists are the ones that understand that to make a real difference the entire world system must change, profit must not be the goal, sustainabilty has to come first.
If I have enough to educate, feed and house my own, that should be enough. Profit means making everyday more than I made yesterday. How can that work? The planet must run out of we can take!
Any system that increases the haves means that the have nots have less!

Sorry to rant on but hell, I cant walk out my front door without seeing the results of our system and its not pretty. The great debate is what should we replace the system with?
The geat problem is that we are a violent animal who has a god complex and believes we have the right to be our planets architect. We are and animal that must understand that harmony is to blend into the planetary system, not mould the planet around our sopposed needs and desires!!!

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.

Where I will be in ten years.

Ten years from now I will be in a political job assisting with people in the midlands of South Carolina particularly the rural working class and farmers. As the class of people that feed the nation I find that it is imperative that we assist with making sure they produce as much food as possible. I would like to support local scientists as well that are leading in research on how to produce food more efficiently. I will also be participating in missions to foreign countries to help people with…See More

India Water home

The secret was living on the water via boats common in many developing countries like Myanmar. This is a real Indian boat home made of wood and this provides a shelter for many peoples around the world.
