Food security also requires clean water

 While I was in Nigeria it struck me how dirty the water is.  I am a tap water drinker here and had to be a fussy bottle babe in Africa.  I took an interest in water cleaning technologies. Does…Continue

Model for my charity

I found another Californian woman with much the same mission as I have just another country. Her charity Just like my Child at http://www.justlikemychild.com/ works in Uganda not Nigeria and she has several years head start but I hope I can catch up someday

Future dinner

My life is becoming increasing multinational. My future meal in March of 2020 I will be an older woman and hopefully I will be sharing a large dinner with many of my "children" ( see my photos ) in Nigeria.These children will have gone from attending school on empty bellies , wearing broken shoes into adults that have small home gardens and clean safe water for the family. Hopefully my compound will be the meeting place for a weekend get together and brain storming session. We will be eating… Continue

Food scarcity, without water the food doesn't grow

I live in California and there are vast farms here that provide produce for much of the country. However farms have to share imported water with an ever growing population. The American dream is a house with a green lawn. We get these lawns in our desert areas by using a lot of water. If the urban user doesn't learn to cut water usage the farmer will suffer and in turn the urban user. When it came time to redo my front yard I disposed of the grass and replaced it with random trees, herb and… Continue

Learning Invocation in African trips.

A log ot being able to help someone is to know what they understand and to help them learn things that will help them while you learn how uniquely they see the world. I have sent things to friends in Africa and fill in the spaces of the boxes with gifts to the children. It was eye opening to arrive on my next visit and see that they didn't know what to do with Play dough or what blowing bubbles was about. It is really a challenge at tiimes finding toys that don't rely on batteries. IT shows how… Continue

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
