Gyanesh Pandey is the social innovator I want to focus on, he was born in Bihar, India which is the poorest states in the country. He eventually left this area for America and got an education in engineering and landed a high-paying job in Los Angeles. After a while he was inspired by his material surroundings in America and wanted to give back to his birthplace. His great invention was to be able to run an entire power plant on rice husks. He has been able to win some student run competitions and got his idea off the ground. It proves even small ideas can lead to something big and world changing.
