The future of currency-Helping people all over the world
I imagine a day when our system of exchange will be based on the good that nonprofits actually do. I imagine a day when a woman in the Congo who is helping the women in her town recover from rape can get a $100,000 grant from a billionaire in New York.
I imagine the day when our barriers will be broken down enough so that anyone who applies for a grant can be instantly vetted online and the money can flow freely to them and the good work that they are doing.
I imagine a day when we will have no more rape in the congo, because due to the barter system, we have gotten concrete walls and houses for women to live in. We have gotten self defense cla**** for women. We have gotten steel doors and farmland. We have gotten cla**** so that all women in the congo know how to read and write and do math. We have found a way to make an economy that bypa**** the warlords, the drug gangs, the child armies, the corruption. We will have a way to help women directly.
One day.

Fourth of July on the Lake
This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
