I contributed to the Who Gives A Crap(TM) Initiative (http://unreasonableinstitute.org/finalists/index.php?action=about_p...

Their solution for the water crisis:
Our solution is non-profit toilet paper. Seriously. We want to produce environmentally friendly toilet paper and sell it at the same price as competitors, but all of our profits will be donated to water sanitation projects in the developing world. And we want to go global. It’s win-win for customers and charities. Customers can make a difference by simply buying toilet paper – something they need every day. Charities gain access to a previously inaccessible pool of funds. Why toilet paper? It’s one of a small number of products that are consumed by pretty much every single person in the developed world (except the Japanese and French, but really, who gives a bidet). It’s also relatively h***genous product and its demand is continuously stable. Finally, we think it’s about time the toilet paper industry saw some greater innovation than TV ads with cute puppies and recycled brown paper packaging that’s been endorsed by Planet Ark…we think toilet paper doesn’t need to be a crap product.
