The sand is the raw material used to make wafers that can make electricity.
Oxygen is pumped in on one side and natural gas on the other. The two combine inside the cell to create a chemical reaction that produces electricity. No burning, no combustion, no power lines from outside
A half-dozen big companies have already bought this technology at a cost of $700,000 to $800,000. But Sridhar’s (the inventor - Bloom… Continue
There’s enough power in trees to run an electronic circuit, says a new study.
A study last year led by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) found that plants generate up to 200 millivolts when one electrode is placed in a plant and the other in the surrounding soil.
University of Washington (UW) associate professor of electrical engineering and study co-author have since started a company developing forest sensors that exploit this new power source. The UW team sought… Continue
Cows. And in fact, farm animals in general. Although it lacks charm, manure is an energy powerhouse, releasing countless tons of natural methane. A study at the University of Texas has estimated that this manure could represent 100 billion kwH of electricity a year. And there’s more: cows also generate methane in other ways that could yet be put to work.
Let’s keep those cars on the road – because the weight of vehicles driving over metal plates could be used to generate electricity. (Perfect for lining public transport routes).
Usually you expect cars to require a power source. Now if what a company that calls itself an incubator of energy ideas comes to fruition, the actual movement of cars over the road might generate electricity. Octillion Corp. says it is devoting some of its resources to the development of safe, economically… Continue
In regards to making the challenges being difficult; you the user can set your own difficulty level. Yes it is possible to complete a challenge by typing random words and then tagging it correctly, I certainly wouldn't feel satisfied. If you are not feeling challenged then I would encouraged you to work much harder--its like exercise, work until you feel the burn!
Well, the greatest challenge in the missions each week is the ACT challenge. Did you successfully increase at least one person's food security? have you converted the power supply for something you use each day? If you really do these missions, I think you will definitely get the rush of an epic win ^_^
"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"
This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More
In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More
