Every tree you cut down plant another two. Everything you were taught about the environment when you were little is true. The environment is way too precious to keep on using it as if we have another planet to expend. Everything that we have if finite and we need to treat it as such. Our little blue marble is starting to become a grey marble and we need to stop that from happening.

Its simple, a book is the best answer to keeping the wisdom of an indigenous people. For example, Plato's republic has survived for thousands of years and the bible is a perfect example of this too.

The Japanese constantly hunt whales and sharks. That's not the problem however, the problem is the types of whales and sharks that the Japanese hunt down. They hunt animals that are close to the endangered species list or are already on it. They keep saying that they are only tracking them down and killing them in order to study their habits but anybody can see that's not true. The lesson here would be that humanity can't think that they are more important and it is more important to make a…

Since the city of Charleston is a huge coastal city with a big export import business, Charleston should have anything to do with water. First off it should have desalinization plants and anything that would treat water to provide to its people. Also it should increase its port city opportunities to the people of the city therefore creating more jobs. A big plus for the city would be reopening the shut down naval station that would bring back even more jobs to the city.

THE city of charleston does many things for the developing lifestyle. They provide water treatment centers and recycling centers that will reuse waste so as to not pollute the environment.

Recently I read an article how it would take solar panels filling only about a fraction of the African dessert to power the world. Keep in mind that this is according to energy consumption today making this an amazing achievement. This is information according to DESERTEC and if any of this is true, it would be amazing to power any future technology and cities this way.

The Germans, Norwegians, and basically most European countries are developing new ways of energy efficiency in amazing ways. The Japanese as well are making amazing achievements with their energy efficient cars and trains and new way of developing how to do things.

The best way that i could think of to power something would be to have it water powered. USe water to power a car by basically inserting water into where the gas would usually go and instead of having fumes coming out you just have a steam coming out instead. Obviously the technology to accomplish something like this is beyond my comprehension, but something like this would really solve the gas problem and the pollution problem.

Twitter, facebook, and basically any social media are the best ways to get out the word during a crisis. It was shown in Egypt, Libya, Yemen, and several other middle eastern countries that when a riot or revolution happened, social media was the best way to get the western world's attention.

Hopefully by the year 2020, more women in the South American and African continents will no longer fear being oppressed by men and take a strong stance on equal rights and pay for women in their country.

ACT 6

Empowering women from Africa and South America would be my main goal. Argentina is already on the right track by allowing a woman president into office, showing that a country can be run by a woman and the unbiased views the Argentines have. Africa is a different story however because women are constantly persecuted for their strong stance on women's rights.

Act 5

I made a transaction in the Colombian peso the other day and the experience was weird. Not the fact that there are an extra 3 zeros at the end of the bill but the fact that it is only worth half of the American dollar. When you look at what people get payed down there as in tip which is about 5000 pesos for a 30 american dollar meal, thats only a 2.50 dollar tip. Thats pathetic and people find it acceptable to pay hardworking people such a small amount. I may be too accustomed to the…

Biggest change in how we use money today would be having a global currency and getting all countries to agree on it. There would be no worry of exchange rate or who got how much and it would be easier to track money.

Well, if everything goes according to plan, then I will be having dinner on a submarine will my fellow brothers. Ill be eating whatever the cook decided to cook that night and since it is a submarine, its probably gourmet food. Ill be deep underwater somewhere doing strategic deterrence for the Navy and happily surrounded with my fellow sailors.

Personally, I don't know anybody who needs any food security since I live pretty well off and I haven't been exposed to such harsh conditions as others have but I do have one person in mind. There is this one image that I have reoccurring in my mind of a kid, about 10-12 years old with his little brother on the side of the street living under a blue plastic tarp around al this trash. Obviously they were homeless but i just found that image saddening without a mother or family, they just had…

The biggest food security issue near me would be the homeless people around Charleston not receiving the food they need mostly because lack of knowledge of local food pantries or because there are not enough food pantries around. Mostly in the United States, people get some sort of food because of the country's national food efforts. While these efforts are more effective in other cities than some, people still get some sort of sustenance, however maybe not what they should be receiving. You…

Hopefully by the year 2020 I will be commissioned in the United States Navy. My dream is to be an officer on a nuclear submarine and hopefully learning and leading sailors of my own in the proper manner. Maybe by the year 2020 or something I will be an O-2 or just maybe in the process of being promoted into the ranks. I hope to be successful in whatever i may be doing and have the confidence of the people who lead me and that I will be leading.

José Mujica, former president of Uruguay would be my choice because of his humility and generosity. He was known as the poorest president of Uruguay, not because the salary was so low but because he decided to donate the majority of his salary to charities. He even gave up living in a luxurious presidential mansion to keep on living on his little farm. He kept up with his farmer duties including with his presidential ones but he kept on living a life of humility and that is something that i…

Live on $2 a day:

I believe this is the best option to truly learn what it is like to live in the shoes of others because it helps you understand the value of a dollar, as unoriginal as it may sound, it is the simplest way to put it. You learn to work for what you have and since $2 dollars doesn't do much for you today then you learn to fend for yourself and scavenge and know what it's like to have nothing in this world, to lose everything. Once you have been put in one of the lowest…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
