Same goes for me. I never start a cooperative myself (intending to at some point though cause it's a great business model) but I'm on the Desjardins surveillance committee in my community. Desjardins is the 6th largest financial institution in Canada and it's cooperative (credit union). It's been running for over a century and it now provides so many services: banking, insurance, investment, trust management, social entrepreneur financing, venturing capital services, it helps develop financial cooperative in emerging countries, etc.
