Episode 8 CODE PHRASE: "A house cannot be repaired when the owner is destroying it"

It's an old Kenyan proverb: "A house cannot be repaired when the owner is destroying it".  What do you think this code phrase means to the EVOKE network?

How can someone repair what is being destroyed? Everyone must work together in order for something to be fixed, otherwise it fails. ...
Yes, that is true. It is absolutely relevant to frequent cases in developing countries, where corrupt ruling elites fail attempts of development and recovery for their own interests.
Very very true indeed. No one can change me, the change has to begin with me. I am the custodian of my own self. We all need to have our efforts in sync. Put our differences aside. For me to help you build your house, I need to have the assurance that you are in agreement with me. Unity is our strength.
If we look more current we see America taking on more and more debt, It is the failure of our social system as we know it. I look to Republic vowed return but disagree with repeal of medicare. As a American soldier I has heard several other countries baffled by America's relectance on a Universal Healthcare System. These countries adopted this years ealier. Globally it is a viable option, why not America?

Corrosion is seen everywhere, applicant pools are enlarging as job cuts flury...repair this house. Check out www.firststepsheadquarters.com
In regards to the Earth, I think this is pointing at the issues between human beings and the planet. We can not solve problems like pollution, global warming, etc when we are actively continuing to contribute to these issues.
When you dont feel sense of ownership, You can never show desired commitment and enthusiasm for the things go on. The owner is the person who can make or break........ For us on Evoke we are owners of the World, if we are not serious enough we can not bring betterment and prosperty. We would only be able to see how our heaven made world is being destroyed........ We have to be active drivers of this world instead of being passive passengers on this dangerous path.
What it really means is,the someone having a problem cannot resolve his/her problem if he /she still dwells in it take the societal change for instance global waring needs to be stopped but the people contribute to the breakage of the ozone layer......so on and so forth
It means that it is useless to try to fix a problem without the participation of the causer of the problem. It would be in vain to fix a problem without first addressing the causer and may be convince him to be in your team of fixing the problem. In the global pollution war for example it is useless to try to clean the environment while the polluters have not stopped polluting, that would be like repairing a house when the owner is destroying it.
Our house (EVOKE) cannot solve the problems of the world if we, as the owners, are not good caretakers.
I like you comment. However, I believe as long as an Evoke member is not distructive it is acceptable to be passive. A passive member is better than no member at all.

Let us start with ourselves, in our own little environment. It is a good approach to start from the root of the matter, "MAN".
